Story has potential once characterization and dialogue are improved.
This is definitely a start to what doesn't need to be a feature-length horror but a short that needs to be more fleshed out. I found myself disappointed by ambiguity and wanted more out of it. Being ambiguous is never bad, but try to explore the story's background more. With these elements being improved, the rest of the issues will also improve. I hope this helps.:)
Overall, it's a 5.7/10 as it stands with the potential of an 8.0/10 with reworking and rewriting. I say its ceiling is an 8/10 because of my personal preferences and that the story near the end reads as if there is some mysterious gateway to another plane, world, or something where these "entities" come from (possibly the negative world of ours). I've seen that story a few times already so that is why an 8 is my ceiling.

What brings the score...
