The bones of this story are absolutely there, I absolutely think it is an idea that could be expanded or at least reworked, the crux of the entire story hinges on the question, why are these two individuals so willing to be together? (For example, The Last of Us) the main aspect of what keeps narratives like this interesting is the relationship between the characters and there is a good start here! It just has to come from a believable foundation.

A fun story, reminiscent of an 80’s romp mixed in with some mystical elements and a self-referential outlook. I would consider finding a way to flesh out some of the transitions, as when reading it can be hard to keep track of the narrative without re-reading scenes to grasp the flow. I would consider re-evaluating the tinder scene, personal opinion is the scene isn’t particularly necessary and using the gained time to flesh stronger elements out.
