Overall, in conclusion, "Neighbour Watch" is a story that has quite an appeal and a unique tone that is difficult to pin down. However, it also works in the story's favour since the characters and situations in which they find themselves are easily relatable, and I think the plot also benefits from its simplicity – there's no saving the town, no action sequences, no big-budget bullshit. This is a story which I can definitely see being brought to the screen, preferably in this form, because I cannot see how any alterations would improve the plot. The script is neither too long nor too short, just right in length, and the language used within is descriptive but not loquacious, just sufficient to convey the world of the story and bring its inhabitants to life. The lack of exposition also helps to encourage readers and viewers to put the pieces together and use their imaginations, qualities sadly lacking in today’s world of tell everything and show barely anything. A solid recommendation, and a cohesive story to boot.
