Great concept. The general idea and theme works considering it is a horror thriller. There is definitely an audience for your script. I would compare this story to The Rite and The Omen. Foothold follows Dom a young theology student who hears voices and sees his dead mother as a spiritual entity. Dom is also chosen by a demonic entity. Dom seeks answers as to why the THE NOTHING refuses to leave the church. The story opens with Dom seeing his dead mother as an entity; he continues to see throughout the script. The story is rooted in his relationship with his over protective father Paul and gives a fresh take on horror thrillers. Dom is attacked by spiritual entities and looks for answers as to why THE NOTHING refuses to leave the church. The story seems to have great structure but purpose of THE NOTHING could use more development. Recommendation is to develop the character backstory's a little more. Kassie is a little under developed as well as Dom his father and Mother. The story becomes a little ambiguous but reconnects the audience enough to keep them engaged. Conflict ensues around the staying power of The Nothing. Kassie has the ability to speak to the nothing and tries to bargain with it to leave the church but refuses to let Dom go int he bargain. Each of the characters have their own distinctive voices and one would be able to read the story without their names. Job well done on keeping things concise without over explaining in each scene and without on the nose dialogue. Overall it's a great story and is sure to keep the audience jumping out of their seats. Very thrilling and and has heart pumping scenes. Content is not offensive and lends to educate the audience on biblical verses.
