Honestly, I thoroughly enjoyed this script.
I loved how each character was well-thought out and near perfectly developed, and how I could relate to the two leads.
At times in the screenplay, it is very funny and relatable, and at other times in the screenplay it is very suspenseful and I was not sure what was going to happen next.
If this was going to be made into a real film, I would definitely go and pay money to see it.
In addition, the screenplay was easy to read and the formatting was flawless.
Also, I loved how the dialogue was not only believable, but also substantially and unequivocally original.
This is the part of the review where I say, "It reminded me of ...". But I couldn't. Its content is so substantially original that I couldn't even begin to compare it to anything else.
I believe there are some very important points about our youth raised in the script, and they need to be heard.
My favorite character was Eddie because I knew a kid like that in high school, and the development of Eddie was so flawless I could have actually believed that Eddie was the kid I knew in high school.
My favorite scene was in the beginning when Eddie views Saving Private Ryan for the first time, and is visibly scared of the opening Normandy scene. I can relate to this because I used to be scared of the film when I was little because of the flying guts everywhere. I also used to be scared of the 1989 film "Glory" because of when the one soldier gets his head blown off by a cannon ball.
I loved the tension between Greg and Eddie a little more than halfway into the screenplay because I have heard similar stories to that same scene in the screenplay.
I believe this film will apply to youth and adults alike because of its humor and the message it sends. Many of the issues raised in the script that were still prominent when the adult generation was young are still relevant today.
