A funny twist on the classic "get the band back together" story arc is moderately executed. The concept itself of reuniting the old pals is a tired one and needs to be done in a way that makes it seem like it's not a retread. As far as draw goes, it worked as intended. The script was faithful to the listing description and logline posted. The scenes are well-written and the script is structured well. I did notice a lack of description regarding the line, "He turns and tries to fight him, but the Stranger is just too quick for him". That specific sequence may have been helped with a specific action that Geoff was trying to do against the Stranger. "Fight him" could have many meanings in a comedy, such as a comedic sissy fight or a full-blown fistfight. I found all of the characters to be compelling in their own way, especially the protagonist. I was invested in the development of each. The dialogue between the characters was smooth and extremely well-done, possibly one of the writer's strongest suits. At the end, I was hoping for some clarity on the mystery and while I didn't get it, I was left with intrigue for a possible second entry. From an "audience member looking to be entertained" perspective, in short, I was. Elaborating on that point, I believe the core thing audiences seek when viewing any type of creative media is some sort of feeling of entertainment. Captivating stories, compelling characters, and witty writing keep a hold on today's increasingly short attention spans. In my opinion, films' successes are measured on whether or not the audience, at their core, were entertained. I never once found myself trying to rush through the script or by turning my attention to external distractions. While it may be the expectation of the writer that an analyst is focused on reading their script, it doesn't mean the analyst *wants* to. The script was great in that I actually wanted to read and continue reading until the end. I was incredibly engaged in the script throughout reading. Additionally, I was also left with wanting a sequel or another entry to the story because I'm interested in what direction the twist involving Collin will go. I will recommend for my colleague to read this script and the writer's work as well if more work is available somewhere.
