Massay is a high school student who is bullied at school and abused at home. His brother committed suicide due to the father’s beatings. This led to Massay being obsessed with the lore of the Jersey Devil. A mythical monster that stalks the residents who live near the Pine Barrens, eating their live stock and frightening hitchhikers. Recently a serial killer has been unleashed on his small town, leaving gruesome murder scenes and body parts behind. Massay thinks it’s the Jersey Devil while his best friend, Sean, thinks otherwise.

Massay and Sean have been friends since Massay’s brother died. They are so close that the school thinks they are a couple, except for Angelica, Massay’s stalker. Angelica is obsessed with Massay because he isn’t like the other boys in school and his weirdness turns her on. She takes him to the Pine Barrens where they find a flower garden in the middle of the woods. This proves to be a deadly mistake because it’s also the same area that the Jersey Devil roams.

Meanwhile, Massay’s father drunkenly believes that Massay is trying to kill him. He drags Massay’s mother along to find Massay against her wishes. His best friend gets kidnapped by the school's bully and is beaten up in the woods while the Jersey Devil watches. Once they are separated the Jersey Devil attacks everyone in the woods, playing a game of cat and mouse and hide and seek. Massay must help everyone escape the Pine Barrens while dealing with his abusive father before the Jersey Devil picks them off one by one, turning their bodies into his personal playpen.

The high-level action and violence is the strongest part of your script.

Unfortunately, a lot of the theme and character development gets lost in this non-stop action. For instance, you introduce Ma...
