When overwhelmed Santa cancels his Christmas Eve gift deliveries for a road trip filled with comical misadventures, his party hearty traveling buddy struggles to end Santa's Pause before kids wake up to zero presents Christmas morning.
For over seventeen hundred years, Santa has made gifts all year long and delivered them Christmas Eve without one break. Finally, feeling totally unappreciated and realizing he was born a responsible adult, never enjoyed a childhood, never experienced carefree teenage years, he yearns for one year off just to have fun. So, one night, feeling sorry for himself in a Santa Bar, he befriends Jerry, a party hearty guy, whose goal in life has been to have fun, morning noon and night. They decide to embark on a fun road trip. They have a laugh filled trip with Santa's dog and cat, Sandy Paws and Sandy Claws and Jerry's pet frog, Mistletoad in Santa's refurbished sled, the Holly Davidson. But, circumstances on the trip reveal many children and adults will suffer without Santa's delivery marathon. Jerry tries to convince Santa to take a Santa pause from the road trip on Christmas Eve and deliver gifts. Santa adamantly says, no. Ultimately, Jerry refuses to believe Santa is a lost Clause and hatches a plan using social media, thousands of Alaskans, the Alaska ferry, snow machines and dogsleds to save Christmas
