Jason's Chronicles feature

“Jason Lowell” is an 18-year-old recent high school graduate living in New York City in the year 2010. His dad, “Zachary,” is a scientist while his mom, “Beatrice,” is a police detective. One day, he participates in a time travel experiment developed by Zachary and his boss “Dr. Peter Brigshaw.” After getting teleported 100 years into the future, Jason meets “Dr. Elizabeth Hemingway,” a British scientist who’s running a laboratory in the city. The building not only has a lab, but also an apartment complex for all employees to be based in. Jason later meets Dr. Hemingway’s 18-year-old daughter, “Kym,” who works at the lab as a desk receptionist. Unbeknownst to her parents, she’s building her own time machine in her spare time. Knowing this would be his one way back to 2010, Jason asks Kym if he could help with it as a way to stay occupied during his stay in 2110. She kindly turns him down, saying it won't be done for another month or so. Jason then learns about how thousands of people were out in the streets the night before and mysteriously disappeared. Kym’s father, “Nicholas”, who’s a police detective, is working on the case with his partner, “Rick Manchester,” but they need extra help with it. When Jason asks if he could join them, he tells the police chief, “Rodney Fulcan,” a story of how he helped his mom catch an armed robber. Despite his lack of professional experiences, that example was still enough for Chief Fulcan to hire Jason. After that, Dr. Hemingway finds a vacant apartment for him to stay in.

During his first night investigating, Jason spots a mysterious hover biker roaming around the city. When he and Rick catch the biker, it is revealed to be Kym doing some investigations herself. Nicholas then forbids her from entering the city at night. Yet behind her parents’ backs, Kym asks Jason if she could help him out with his investigations. He agrees to do so on the condition that he helps her out with the time machine. As time goes on, Jason and Kym become really great friends working together on these assignments/projects. As they’re almost done with the time machine, Jason notices 2 or 3 helicopters flying around the city one night, releasing small round balls. As they all clash down to the ground, the balls burst out green flares, countless citizens inhale them, which causes them to choke and break out in hysterical laughter. When Jason goes outside to investigate, Kym follows him. They save “Mayor Patel” from getting kidnapped, but one of the helicopters follows them. By the time Jason and Kym bring the mayor to the rooftop of the lab, a “mysterious leather jacketed stranger” shows up and ties the three of them to the helicopter. Jason gets part of the rope cut, freeing him and Mayor Patel, but not Kym, who is kidnapped as a result. When Rick finds out where everyone has been disappearing to, he, Chief Fulcan, Jason, Nicholas, and Dr. Hemingway all go underground to track them down.

The mysterious leather jacketed stranger follows Jason before getting shoved down to the ground. Chief Fulcan and Rick find that the mysterious stranger is a machine. Rick then pulls out a gun and shoots Chief Fulcan right in the back of his head. Jason is taken away while other machines grab Nicholas and Dr. Hemingway. Suddenly, the machines shut off and Zachary appears all of the sudden. He explains to everyone that Rick has been using the citizens he’s kidnapped to program their minds into his machines and is about to use them to destroy the world. Jason, Nicholas, Dr. Hemingway, and Zachary then start to release the citizens from sleep chambers they’ve been kept in. As Jason and Zachary release more people, they manage to find Kym, who then has an idea of setting everyone free quicker. The three of them sneak into Rick’s control room and find a locked cylinder connected to all sleep chambers. Kym unlocks it, and everyone is immediately set free. Jason, Zachary, and Kym each make it back above ground to find every single machine shut down. Yet, Rick shows up out of nowhere and takes Jason up into his helicopter, which Kym sneaks into via rope ladder. While up in the sky, Rick gets ready to drop a nuclear bomb into the New York Harbor. This leaves the fate of the city in the hands of Jason and Kym.
