Evelyn, mother of two, is growing distant from her husband Andrew. While she battles an emerging internal conflict, he seeks solace in an online relationship. After revealing this to her, she reconnects with her high school best friend, Amber. The two spend an increasing amount of time together over the following months and a romance begins to bud. Meanwhile, Julia the eldest daughter, and her younger sister Kate, struggle with their own individual plights. Their relationship is tested as a result. When Evelyn and Amber share a kiss, Evelyn isolates herself, attempts to seek spiritual guidance, and enrolls herself and Andrew into marriage counseling.
