When Courtney Garcia arrives at Tidal High, she wants to create a new legacy and reivent the Drama.
Jacob Miller, Samson Matthews, Holly Chambers and Ruby Dyer all sign up for the musical. Together they will naivigate their way through High School, dealing with anything that life throws at them.
There are some structure issues in the script that makes it difficult to review the plot and characters. I think it would be better to give a review once these issues are fixed.
First of the story is not told with any flow. Multiple characters are introduced in a row, and descriptions are not very interesting.
P2
HOLLY CHAMBERS: A 16 Year Old Girl, she is the leader of the
Cheerleading Squad. She is also the best friend of SANTIA and

Structurally I understand what the writer is trying to achieve by setting a tone for the school's and their characters' social structure.
A portion of the script spends a lot of time telling us about each character's background and personality. Most of that needs to be left off this and put in the Final Draft navigator notes and beat. These facts and traits need to be demonstrated by your dialog and visuals based on what's happening here....
Positive Feedback
1) I liked the characters and how they interacted with each other, they all seemed to have their own motives and were complex.
2) The tone overall was good, you had a constant tone that you developed from the beginning of the script.
Constructive Feedback
1) My biggest issue with this script was your action/description of what was taking place. It often would describe inner feelings or events that we the audience could...
This script was excellent, it reminds me of Glee mixed with Modern Family, in a fresh spin. The characters are not developed as much as some, like when you compare Jacob to the rest of the cast, his character is the only one that is flat out got any real depth to him. But you've planted seeds throughout the script about what the series would look like, with Santia's moral argument to Mason's tourment.
The story flows at a real nice pace, with m...
Overall, the script was fairly easy to read and follow. The story line flowed from one scene to another allowing the reader to envision how it would look on screen. The concept itself was interesting in that high school kids chose to perform a musical rather than detention only because most teenagers would consider the musical a worse punishment. I'm particularly interested in how the cast members will bond more so than the actual musical produ...
As a fan of good high school media such as "The Breakfast Club" or "Rebel Without a Cause", I enjoyed Tidal High despite its many flaws. Firstly, I found your way of telling this story to be very ambitious. It felt very realistic in the way that everyone is always sharing the same spaces whilst there being barriers between everyone. Scenes where many characters were present, moving and leaving were very dynamic. However, sometimes things changed...
A drama/comedy set in a high school is not new, and this particular script reminds me of the TV show Glee - the juxtoposition between the popularity of the cheerleaders and a cheerleading coach with suspicious motives, and the earnest yet shrewd drama teacher that leads the school's musical production, reminds us of the dynamic that was one of the main tenets of Glee.
As such, the characters did not seem fairly original. None of them had any...
You should really carefully re-read and edit your script. There are a bunch of typos and weird dialogue segments that don't make sense and detract from the reader's appreciation of your story and characters. Read over the whole script out loud and you will catch a lot of these.
Overall this makes sense, and I appreciate that you are setting up a larger story to tell over the course of a season. My concern is that there is a little too much set...
The premise is a little interesting, and had a lot of potential. However, the main problem of the screenplay is with its execution, where it fails in the characters and the screenplay.
The first issue is the characters. While they seem decent, they are very one-dimensional and cliche, making them easily forgettable. The worst example is Shaggy, which the screenplay describes as hates anyone that is lower than him. It seems like a very generic...
I think the biggest problem with this script is that it being written by a fan of shows and movies like Glee and High School Musical and they are simply trying to recreate the feeling they felt when they saw those movies. The plot is ripped directly from the aforementioned series and the characters feel like imitations or high school students. The story feels like it happens to the protagonists, they are not driving the story. All of Shaggy’s dia...
Please don't take offense but this was extremely difficult to read. It was a struggle to make it past page 2. The errors began from the very beginning of page two starting with this:
"The car stops and the door opens to reveal a 35 Year Old
Woman, this of course is COURTNEY GARCIA. She is the new
drama teacher at TIDAL HIGH." - The introduction to Courtney Garcia should be in the dialogue seeing as this is a teleplay/script and not a novel,...
