Back in the 1960's, Hope (16) and her high school boyfriend, Randy (18), were deeply in love when Hope became pregnant graduation night in the back seat of his car. When they found out, like most young teens in the 60's, they planned to get married and claim the baby was premature at birth. However, Uncle Sam had other plans for Randy, the Viet Nam war, where he died in battle. Alone, with no one to help, after a backroom abortion failure, Hope's embarrassed parents whisk her away to a pregnancy home. When her baby is born, she is informed he died at birth. She is told to forget the baby and live her life. However, Hope is strong and refuses to accept the norm. Against the rules, she proactively goes to visit her son's grave and after ingeniously finding a way to get in the locked gates, she discovers he's not dead. From that point on, she proactively and cunningly searches for her son. It's a fool's errand because she has few clues and the birth records have been forged. However, modern technology, DNA, eventually reunites Hope and her son despite him having no idea he was adopted. After all, back in the 60's, children weren't told they were adopted For Their Own Good.

Overall, this was a solid script for sure and as per usual from Kathleen Hof. My only concerns for this script are to make it more of its own story because right now, it feels a bit too familiar to Just Another Throwaway. That and working on the pacing and giving Peggy just a bit more screen time. Hopefully my feedback will be helpful for you and good luck on your future revisions!

This is a compassionate tale, and incredibly sad. I would have liked to see more of Hope's romantic relationship, but besides that it's pretty good.
