In the year 61AD Boudica becomes the leader and queen of the Iceni tribe, one of many tribes in Britain living under Roman rule. Upon the death of her husband the Romans attempt to bring the tribe under their direct control. The Romans storm into Boudica's home city and her her beaten ruthlessly in front of her people. Worse still Boudica's two young daughters are raped and beaten by Roman troops causing huge outrage from the Iceni people. Boudica then rallies her people for war and joins forces with another tribe, the Trinovantes to fight against the Romans.
With these two tribes combined might, Boudica begins her war to free Britain from Roman domination and brings Roman rule to the very edge of collapse.
