When Wendla meets her brother's new friends, Wendla and her friend Hanschen embark on a journey of exploring their sexuality and worldview up against the gritty reality of 1977 West Berlin.

In the spring of 1977, Wendla and Hanschen meet her brother, Otto's new university friends. Hanschen meets Ernst a quiet somewhat reserved boy from a small village and Wendla meets Melchior a guy who grew up with a harsh worldview. As they get to know each other better both pairs fall in love expanding their worldviews while sadly being oblivious to the harsh world that surrounds them.
