To cope with her mundane reality, a lonely eighteen-year-old girl spends her last spring escaping into romanticized daydreams, until the filter stops working.

Set in 2006, the story follows Maya, an 18-year-old senior navigating a Catholic household. To escape reality, she relies on her camera, a pet rabbit, and a secret relationship with an older college athlete. When her plans fall through, Maya is forced to look at reality without a filter.
